Mustang vs. GTO 2

On November 1^st, 2008, Modern Mustangs of Jacksonville and members of LS1GTO.com will hold an event at Gainesville Raceway.

Suffice it to say everyone should be very happy with this event!

Sponsors will be joining us so please give them a big thank you and keep them in mind for your next upgrades, just mention you saw them at Mustangs vs. GTO Day 2!

Rules: This will be simple. There will be 80 cars this year. 40 of them Ford powered Mustangs and 40 GTO's with a few other GM powered cars. Cars will be limited to "Street cars". Please leave the real drag cars at home. Of course all required safety equipment must be installed but if it is not a real street car and you have half the interior pulled or swapped with aluminum then this isn't for you. If you need a parachute to slow down then this isn't meant for you this is more for cars that have been hopped up but still retain 90% of the factory items like AC, interior, and stereo. Most of the cars involved are cars you see at most of the cruise-ins and touring around town. This is a ”just for fun” event for bragging rights. No cash prizes will be awarded this year but there will be trophies awarded.

ATTENTION   All cars will be required to pass a Tech Inspection. Please make sure you and your car are in compliance of NHRA requirements. We will not be held responsible if you do not pass tech... If you don't pass Tech you will not be allowed on the track to race!!! All cars must pass NHRA TECH!!!  The NHRA Rule book can be found on line at www.nhra.com.

Everyone here are some track timeline updates please read:

- 8:00am gate opens for drivers and sponsors
- 8:00am till 9:00am go thru tech and come back by so we can have drivers meeting.
-8:30am spectators will come in. Cost is $5.00 per person payable at the gate.
- 9:00 or so we will start warm ups, dial ins, and Grudge runs. All drivers save your time slips.

FORMAT:

Lane 1. Left track lane is Mustang
Lane 2. Right track Lane for GTO

Lane 3. Left track lane is GTO
Lane 4. Right track Lane for Mustang

This allows drivers to pick Left or Right lane

POWDER PUFF races for the ladies.
“Shopcar Showdown”
Bracket racing event.

After the race then we will go back to grudge runs.

- 2:30pm Pass out Trophies and prizes
- 3:30 Must be off site.

Concessions will be open for all. But please feel free to bring your cooler if you wish . Some folks will be grilling and if you like you are more than welcome to bring something and join in.

You can pay the $5.00 for spectators at the gate, and there will be a few extra shirts for sale at $20.00 (First come first serve).

**DRIVERS PLEASE BRING YOUR PAYPAL RECEIPT** this will be verified against the list.

If you sell your spot to someone else you MUST ACCOMPANY THEM TO CHECK IN AND SUPPLY YOUR PAYPAL RECEIPT and will be done after all the cars have checked in.

If there are any additional tech cards left over they will be on sale for 60.00 each. This will be determined AFTER all the drivers have checked in (please be on time for check in).

If you have spectators please have them wait till 8:30 am to come in this way we can expedite the drivers and sponsors immediately. (Obviously if they are with you you cant do that but if they are separate please have them hold off till we get the drivers through the gate.
