We want to put in a NOS system but don't now which is most applicable. Don't want to break the bank (or the car). Can someone tell us what they think and where to go for product and who is good to help install. We've been looking at different sites but wanted to post a message for help first.
Thanks to all. |

Most of us fuel injected rides are running dry kits with special tunes for the spray.
I would recommend you talk to Truebluecobra (Joe) or Tony at HP performance. Joe does it on the side and Tony has a shop Both have been in the race game for years and can help you out.
Even if you install it yourself I would highly recommend a Dyno Tune to get every thing correct. |

| I have a friend who's been running a 175 wet shot on a daily driver for well over 5 yrs on a 96 gt. HE ran a nitrous express kit, so i'd say its been fairly reliable. I do have been debating on the spray myself, but I got other things to take care of first |

| IMO Nitrous is Nitrous. All kits are created pretty equal. I have ran Nx,Compucar, and my friend runs NOS. Never heard of any complaints about any certian brand. Wet or dry should be your biggest worry. Bigger shots should be wet and smaller shots dry, if your carbed I would definatley use wet. larger shot will require you to do more, like plugs and tuning. retarding the timing, larger fuel pump, better ignition ect. as far as install, that's simple do it yourself for free, easy to do with hand tools and a couple hours! |

| ok, so i think i'm leaning towards a dry kit. my main concern though is that i don't want to blow the engine up. does NOS really cause it to burn up that many spark plugs? |

well because my tune was wrong. I literally melted the ends of 2 sets of plugs. If the tune isnt right you can cause damage. If it is a newer car then get a programer and make a trip to HP after it is installed. Get maybe 1 or 2 good tunes with it on the Nitous and then you should be good.
I have 3 tunes and 2 are not nitrous ready. I slipped up and didnt get the right tune loaded and melted the plugs.
I have a street tune for no nos, a track tune no nos, and a NOS tune for the track. that is the kind of thing that can burn you if you get in a hurry or interupted during setting the car up. |

| Rich is right, as long as your car is set up for the N20 with a tuner then you should have no problem at all. Tony at HP did mine and made it real safe on the tune so, no worries!! Nitrous is only bad for the motor if used improperly, i.e. using more than the motor can handle, hitting the N20 at low RPM's, stuff like that but it your car is tuned for it then have a ball, Rich just made a simple mistake. |

| i like zex simply cause of the throttle position sensor and it has a cutoff if your air fuel ratio is not right a real good setup as far as saftey wise so you dont blow your motor |
